This is my space to share my quest to collect as many broken branches as I can in my fractured family tree which resembles a bramble bush more then a proper tree. As I go forward in this blogging journey I hope to share how I have searched far & wide for family - with no regard for where they come from or if I should really want them.
You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family you know!

Recreating An Old Family Photo ~ 91 Years Later

 52 Ancestors in 52 Weeks 2023: Week 28 (RANDOM)

In 1932 the photo on the top was taken of my
Great Uncle Alf (left) & Great Uncle Den (right).

The photo on the bottom was recreated in 2023 by their sons/nephews (my 1st cousins X2 removed).

Great Uncle Alf
Alfred (Alf) Dendy
BIRTH 29 MAY 1900 • Clapham, Surrey, England
DEATH 4 APR 1984 • Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

Great Uncle Den
Dennis (Dennie) (Den) Dendy
BIRTH 14 AUG 1909 • Maryfield, Saskatchewan, Canada
DEATH 11 JAN 1999 • Edgewater, British Columbia, Canada

The Dendy blood runs strong!!!

This is why I search -

Cause ...

You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family you know!
